Fight or flight?

So I'm reading the book Take Charge of Bipolar Disorder, that a few members here recommended (thanks!) and I got to the section about brain chemicals. It talks about how our (we bipolar folk) brains may lack the ability to properly control and react appropriately to certain situations…whether emotional or physical.
Anyway, I am curious when you are put into a stressful situation (emotional/physical) do you fight or flight?
I am clearly a fighter, always have been and its gotten me in a good bit of trouble. What about you?
