Happy Halloween Everyone. US Holiday. Where did this originate? Can you tell me without researching this answer out?hing for an answer where this strange Halloween Tradition Orriginated?

I'm in real trouble. Opened 4 large bags of candy, and the rain has put a damper on the trick or treaters. And my kids are out getting more candy! I'm getting high inhaling the sugar fumes.

Haha like I said, we should US ADULTS be trick or treaters!

Hallow = holy. Hallows = saints. Tomorrow = All Hallows Day (All Saints Day). "Even" (like evening) = day before. Hallows Even = day before saints [day]. Even contracted to e'en because they used to do that a lot. And there it is.

As for all the ghosts and what not, I don't know, but psychologically it looks a whole lot like the Mardi Gras partying that precedes Lent and then cuts off sharp at midnight, just like all ghosts and such vanish at midnight. A festival of the opposite.

I havnt got a clue where Halloween originated! I know (i think if my catholic school up-bring did me any good) in the catholic religion this is All Souls' Day (celebration of those who have passed) and tomorrow is All Saints Day (celebration of the Saints and their miracles).

I feel like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde today!! Out side I'm Mr Hyde putting on a nice face for everyone but on the in side I'm Dr Jekyll mean angry and pissed at the world! This is typically every day for me though not just today!

Do you get many kids come trick or treating to your house? You should see the barrel of candy I have. haha I think adults should dress up and trick or treat. That would be a blast!

Made Discussion with a BOO BOO!!!!!

A Vampire today cause my sensory system is heightened. I hear too well, lights are to bright, my skin feels to much when touched and it makes me jump cause I startle much. I can feel anything from a mile away so it seems as though i'm in a foggy dream… insomnia etc

Oh and my head? A Jacolantern, My face with eyes WIDE open. Eye are wide open, and head is exploding with a headache. I NEVER get headaches!!!! But, I cant remember?
